Council for Responsible Nutrition Welcomes Three New Member Companies

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 8, 2008 —The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the dietary supplement industry's leading trade association, is pleased to announce the addition of three voting members to its roster— Dow Chemical Company of Midland, Mich.; Lipid Nutrition of Channahon, Ill.; and NSA, LLC of Collierville, Tenn.

"As we support our mission to enhance and sustain a climate for the industry to responsibly market dietary supplements and dietary supplement ingredients, it is important that we continue to build our membership base with responsible companies," said Steve Mister, president and CEO, CRN. "We are particularly pleased to announce the addition of these three well-respected companies."

Dow Chemical Company is a leader in science and technology, providing innovative chemical, plastic and agricultural products and services to many essential consumer markets, including the nutritional/supplement industry, for which Dow manufactures ingredients such as FORTEFIBER, a soluble dietary fiber.

Lipid Nutrition is a subsidiary of Loders Croklaan, with more than a century of history and experience in developing and producing specialty fats and oils. The company focuses on creating scientifically sound lipid ingredients, acting as a supplier for nutritional supplement and food companies.

For the past 30 years, NSA's concentration has been on marketing innovative new products that improve consumers' health and well-being, including the company's flagship brand Juice Plus+.
