1. You'll want to fly in to Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ).
This is a very popular time of year to be in Albuquerque—it's the same week as the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta—so we strongly urge you to book your flights without delay.
2. The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa is located 31 miles (approximately 30 minutes, depending on the time of day) from the Albuquerque airport, on Native American tribal land—the Santa Ana Pueblo. You can get a taxi cab at the airport (approximately $80-$100 plus tax, tip and fuel surcharge), but you may want to consider booking your airport pick-up ahead of time.
NewMexi Tours Transportation offers several options. You can arrange for a sedan pick-up 24 hours a day, with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Sedans can hold up to 3 people and their luggage. For one person, the price is $83.69 including tax, gratuity and fuel charge. For additional people, the price is pro-rated. For more than 3 people, you can arrange for a mini-van or SUV.
NewMexi Tours Transportation also offers a charter pick-up, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.—that leaves the airport at the top of each hour. Reservations are required with a minimum 24 hour notice. The charge per person is $40 including tax, gratuity and fuel charge.
Prices are subject to change; so please confirm your charge with NewMexi Tours when you make your reservations.

Rental cars are available from major car rental companies (including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty). Car rental service counters and ready/return lots are located via shuttle from the airport terminal building. Please note that the Hyatt Regency Tamaya has a service that allows you to rent a car at the hotel and drop it off at the airport; but if someone rents a car at the airport, you cannot drop it off at the hotel—it must be returned to the airport.
3. October is a beautiful time of year in Albuquerque.
The Conference ends at noon on Sunday, but it's worth staying over till Monday to spend Sunday afternoon enjoying the resort amenities. Then on Sunday evening, if you want to do something "very Albuquerque," plan to attend the Balloon Fiesta. There's a "Balloon Glow" at 5:45 p.m., followed by (weather and field conditions permitting), an "AfterGlow Fireworks Show." Balloon Glow was invented in Albuquerque in 1979, when local pilots inflated balloons on Christmas Eve night as a "thank you" to local residents. The sight of balloons lighting up the night like giant holiday ornaments is breathtaking. These "glow" events are now held all over the world. The Balloon Glow—followed by New Mexico's most spectacular fireworks displays ("AfterGlow")—are now among Balloon Fiesta's most popular events. You may find that one night's extra stay isn't enough—you'll want to stay the rest of the week, too. For more information on admission price and activities, visit www.balloonfiesta.com or call 1-888-422-7277. (Transportation can be arranged from the hotel by taking a shuttle directly into the Balloon Fiesta Park.)
