Herbal and Botanical Supplements

The Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA) defines dietary supplements as any products which contain one or more dietary ingredients such as vitamins, minerals, herbs or other botanicals, amino acids or other ingredients used to supplement the diet. Herbal and botanical supplements are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
