CRN Kicks Off 2014 with More Than A Dozen New Members—Association Links Strong Industry Response to CRN Reputation, New Dues Structure

WASHINGTON, D.C., January 13, 2014—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement industry, today announced the addition of 14 companies to its membership roster, the largest number of quarterly additions in recent CRN history. This impressive increase comes on the heels of sustained growth in 2013, following CRN’s new dues structure announced last July.

“We’re pleased to see such a robust response to the work that CRN does to strengthen this industry for its responsible companies and their customers, ” said CRN President & CEO Steve Mister. “It’s extremely gratifying to represent companies that are at the top of their game and committed to long-term, sustainable growth. You’re only as good as the company you keep, and we’re looking forward to welcoming these 14 companies into the CRN family.”

CRN’s Director of Membership Carl Hyland said, “What I hear over and over from companies considering membership is how impressed they are by CRN’s proactive agenda, and how they want to be part of an association that addresses so many facets of industry growth. Last year was an exhilarating year of expansion for us, and the revised dues structure and new membership categories have addressed the issue of affordability for many companies, bringing membership well within their reach.  I’m looking forward to an even stronger year of growth in 2014.”
