CRN Welcomes Seven New Members

Washington, D.C., March 30, 2017—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, today announced the addition of seven new companies to the association’s membership roster. These companies include: Voting Members—Activ Nutritional, LLC; Ortho Molecular Products, Inc.; Personalized Nutrition, LLC (VitaminPacks.com); and Associate Members—Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton; Micro Quality Labs Inc.; Supplement Safety Solutions, LLC; and Q Laboratories.

Activ Nutritional, LLC

Activ Nutritional is a subsidiary of Adare Pharmaceuticals, created in December 2016 when the company acquired the Viactiv brand of calcium supplements. Viactiv has been available in the U.S. market since 1999 and is available in Food, Drug, Mass and Club channels.

Ortho Molecular Products, Inc.

Ortho Molecular Products researches and manufactures nutritional supplements sold exclusively to healthcare professionals nationwide and in Canada. The company was founded on this mission: To transform the practice of medicine through evidence-based lifestyle and nutritional therapies. Now in its 28th year, Ortho Molecular Products remains dedicated to this mission by creating innovative models to help healthcare professionals successfully implement nutrition and lifestyle medicine into clinical practice.

Personalized Nutrition, LLC (VitaminPacks.com)

Personalized Nutrition is a start-up company comprised of a team of experienced founders, business advisors, and a Medical and Science Advisory Board. Together, they have developed a company that offers personalized vitamin packs with an extensive knowledge base of health information. Using scientifically based recommendations, customers can create unique vitamin packs that benefit their overall health and wellbeing, without interfering with their medications.

Kilpatrick Townsend is a multipractice law firm with expertise in intellectual property, litigation, and corporate transactional matters, including a focus on regulatory and administrative law matters in the life sciences industry. The firm has experience providing regulatory counseling on food, dietary supplements, drugs, cosmetics, and medical device products to both domestic and international clients.

Micro Quality Labs Inc.

Micro Quality Labs (MQL) specializes in providing microbial and analytical testing services for cosmetic, pharmaceutical, dietary supplements, and nutritional industries. The company is FDA registered and Health Canada approved. MQL provides service to large and small companies with a current staff of about 60 and growing. The company has attained their ISO 17025 certification since 2011 and has been ISO17025 for the last seven years. ISO17025 is an internationally accepted standard that recognizes excellence in technical requirements, operations and quality management systems for testing laboratories, published by the International Organization for Standardization.

Supplement Safety Solutions, LLC

Q Laboratories is an independent laboratory that combines state-of-the-art technology with personal service and attention.
