MAY 25, 2023—CRN the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, today responded to the latest results from the COcoa Supplement and Multivitamin Outcomes Study (COSMOS). New findings from an ancillary study known as COSMOS-Web—conducted by Columbia University, in collaboration with Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Harvard Medical School)—were published today in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

MAY 10, 2023—CRN today submitted a Citizen Petition to the FDA calling for the agency to reconsider its interpretation of the Drug Preclusion Clause, which, the trade association contends, has been, and will likely continue to be, misapplied to dietary supplement ingredients the agency has previously acknowledged as lawfully marketed, which threatens future innovation in the supplement marketplace.
