GRMA brings retailers, manufacturers together with new product integrity committee

The Global Retailer and Manufacturer Alliance (GRMA) is forming a new Product Integrity Committee that will focus on developing a single voluntary marketplace testing standard for dietary supplement products.

Why it matters: This new committee will bring together retailer and manufacturer members to discuss harmonization of product testing standards, helping to reduce duplicative testing and give manufacturers more flexibility around the labs and test standards used.

Details: Learn more here. Product Integrity Committee membership requires participants to be a platinum member of GRMA and an additional contribution of $12,000 to fund administrative and other aspects of the committee’s work. The committee will be co-chaired by Jeff Brams from Garden of Life and Rishi Banerjee from Amazon.

What CRN is doing: CRN will serve in a non-voting, advisory capacity to the committee. The association highly encourages members to get involved to have a voice on this important issue. Contact Megan Olsen with questions.
