CRN Announces Board of Directors Election Results; Association Leadership in Place to Address 2026 Challenges and Opportunities for the Dietary Supplement and Functional Food Industry

WASHINGTON — The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), the leading trade association for the dietary supplement and functional food industry, today announced results of its recent Board of Directors elections, effective in January 2026.

Newly elected to CRN’s Board of Directors is Ryan Woodbury, Co-Founder & Co-CEO, Needed. In addition, the following individuals were re-elected for another three-year term of their current board positions:

  • Diane Alexander, Sales Director, Verb Biotics; 
  • Doug Brown, VP Global Account Management, Sirio Pharma Co., LTD.; 
  • Bradley Reynolds, President & CEO, Fermenta USA; 
  • Andrew Shao, Senior Vice President, Global Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, Niagen Bioscience; and
  • Anthony Weston, CEO, SUANNUTRA.

Since last year’s election announcement, CRN’s Board of Directors has also gained new members based on company size, including Kyle Garner, President, Better Being, Co.; Rachel Jones, Executive Vice President, Chief Merchandising & Science Officer, GNC; and Andrew LaBarbera, CEO, Great HealthWorks. CRN’s bylaws direct that members reporting annual sales of more than $120 million receive an automatic seat on the Board while smaller members may be elected to a three-year term.

Bruce Brown, CEO of ReCellience15, will continue to serve as CRN Board Chair through 2026, with Tara Martin, Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Nutrawise Health & Beauty LLC, as Immediate Past Chair. Karen Todd, R.D., Vice President, Global Brand Marketing at Kyowa Hakko U.S.A., Inc., is Chair-Elect, taking the helm in 2027. In addition, CRN Board of Directors Officers include Chris Reid, Chief Legal Officer, Plexus Worldwide, as Treasurer, and Aaron Bennett, Chief R&D Officer, Vytalogy Wellness as Secretary.

Serving on CRN’s Executive Committee in addition to the forementioned officers are:

  • Travis Borchardt, Vice President, Product Integrity & Compliance, Nature’s Way; 
  • Christine Burdick-Bell, Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Pharmavite; 
  • Katie Butler, Head of U.S. Zarbee’s & Dietary Supplements, Kenvue; 
  • Paola Clavijo, North America QA/RA Lead, Unilever Wellbeing Collective; 
  • Micah Osborne, CEO, Stratum Nutrition; 
  • Karina Ong, VP Marketing, Wellness, Haleon; 
  • Haeri Roh-Schmidt, Vice President, Global Product Development - Central Research and Development, Herbalife; and 
  • Michelle Stout, Regulatory Policy Director - Nutrition, Amway. 
  • Harvey Kamil, Advisor, Piping Rock Health Products is Chair Emeritus.
